It’s official. I am now an Intel Insider!!

So what’s Intel Insider all about? Intel defines Intel Insiders as:

“A group of social media and networking pioneers who are helping Intel learn how to better connect with online audiences interested in technology and innovation. Insiders each share something in common: they love sharing their experiences, insights and connecting with others through the wonders of the Internet. Technology is allowing them to express and define themselves and create new possibilities.” So What’s Inside You?

Basically, Intel Insiders are bloggers who are passionate about the latest in technology(like me) and has access to info on Intel’s latest technological discoveries and launches.

The first Intel Insider gathering was held at the Intel Malaysia office(Wisma UOA Damansara II) on the 1st of April 2008.

About 15 selected bloggers were invited and we were all briefed about Intel and the Intel Insider programme.

We were introduced to the Intel Malaysia Marketing Manager, Norhizam Kadir and Simon WM Chan, Intel National Sales Manager for Malaysia & Brunei. Did you know that Intel Malaysia was the first facility built outside US?

I manage to meet up the other bloggers and we all talked about a number of topics including WiMAX in Malaysia, Intel Malaysia, trends, friends, happenings in the industry and more. I was quite surprised that a big corporation like Intel could organised something informal like this. Overall it was a very good experience and hopefull they(Intel Malaysia) will ensure that this program continues.
