The new Panda Global Protection 2010 Beta version is now available for download at the Panda Security website.
“Panda Global Protection 2010 is the most complete product of the bunch we’re releasing it as the main beta product. It includes a complete Anti-Malware Engine, Identity Theft Protection, Safe Internet Browsing filters and PC Backup & Optimization tools.” said Panda Security in its official blog.
The new Global Protection 2010 includes the following features:

- Antispyware/Antiadware.
- Antiphishing.IMPROVED!
- Antirootkits.IMPROVED!
- Personal Firewall.
- New Antispam Engine.
- Identity Protection.
- Parental Control.
- Local and online backup.
- PC Optimizer (Tune-up).
It will work on XP(32 bits) and Vista (32 & 64bits), as for Windows Seven, you may try out Panda Antivirus Pro Beta for Windows 7.
Here’s the list of recommended tests that Panda Security is asking users to perform:
- Installation and uninstallation of the antivirus.
- General use of the Internet with the antivirus installed and if it’s possible, with the “Web Contents Control” installed.
- Updating the product through the Internet.
- Normal working with the PC with the antivirus installed.
- Accessing the local network with the antivirus installed.
- On-demand scan of the PC, Pendrives, SD cards, MP3 players.
- Check of antivirus reports.
- Pay special attention to:
- Possible slowdowns on starting up or working with the computer.
- Computer crashes.
- Possible issues connecting the LAN or the internet.
- Problems with WiFi networks.
