ViewSonic, known for its display product made a new announcement recently, making its way into the crowded netbook market.

  • Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor
  • 1GB memory and 160GB hard drive
  • Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition
  • 10/100 Ethernet/LAN, 802.11b/g WiFi
  • 1.3megapixel webcam
  • 4-in-1 card reader
  • 3-hour battery

The model in the video below shows it has 3G modem, however it is unknown if it will ship to consumers with built in 3G capability.

The ViewSonic VNB100 is scheduled to be available in Asia-Pacific region by early next month and expected to be priced around US$420 or about RM1,500.
