DDoS on Twitter, slower access to Facebook

How does it feel a day without Twitter and Facebook?
About 12 hours ago, Twitter suffered a denial-of-service attack(DDoS) while Facebook also suffered from DDoS but the social networking site remained accessible but slow.
The Twitter outage lasted about few hours.
