Today, Nuffnang will officially launch its Glitterati programme, its latest strategy in hope to attract loyal South-East Asia publishers. The programme offers higher earning to Glitterati club members and are given priorities in other programmes and events by Nuffnang.

To join the Glitterati club, Nuffnang publishers are not allowed to display ads from other Advertising networks that are based in South-East Asia. That includes ads from Advertlets, GradMyAds and Nufflets which all of them are based in Malaysia.

All four start-ups where launched last year where Nuffnang made the lead, followed by Advertlets, GradMyAds and later Nufflets.

According to Nuffnang, the Glitterati club are considered “Exclusive Nuffnangers” where they will be able to earn 20-50% higher than their normal blog income.

Glitterati members will also be able to earn a minimum RM0.25 on CPM ads and will receive payment in 30 days from the end of the previous month when a payment is requested.

The “Non-Loyal” that are also so called “Nuffnangers” will earn lower on CPM ads and will be paid in 60 days from the end of the previous month when a payment is requested.

The “Non-Loyal” Nuffnang publishers will not be able to use other Nuffnang services such as Innit and will not be priorities when an event related to Nuffnang takes place.

To join the programme, publishers must full fill the requirements and wait for the “Nuffnang crawlers” :?: to visit their site which takes place every 48 hours, according to Nuffnang.

The Glitterati Club was announced last week during the domain issues faced by Advertlets that effected more than 15,000 websites and blogs  .

I have heard that Google has plans for publishers in Asia for its Adsense program, what if Google makes the same move as Nuffnang? Could Google dominate further the international market which it currently leads?

Now, lets see how Glitterati will benefit the publishers of Nuffnang and the company itself  .

Hi,

This is Josh Lim here from Advertlets. This is directed all reading this, including bloggers that have registered with Advertlets in our key markets of Malaysia & Singapore.

Firstly, we admit. We made an error in judgment, and we did not intend for this to happen. And we are very sorry that it did, and would like to apologize for everyone affected. Some small mistakes are resolved easily, and affect a few. And some mistakes, however small, can affect millions. Read the rest of this entry »

WordpressWordpress has released its latest version of Wordpress, the 2.3.2, that features urgent bug fixes. The Wordpress 2.3.2 fixes a bug that can be used to expose your draft posts, and information leaks in the XML-RPC and APP implementations.

The new version will also allow you to view a custom template when WordPress has a problem connecting to the database. By placing your custom template at wp-content/db-error.php, this page will displayed rather than the default error message.

More info here.
